SensatioNail Starter Kit

I have wanted a SensatioNail Starter kit for a few months now, but at £70 (£69.99) they are very expensive. I had to think long and hard before I saw they were on a 3 for 2 at Boots and finally decided to purchase.

I convinced myself that if I was to go to a salon to get a gel nail treatment it would cost around £40+ and would probably prefer to be in the comfort of my home. Also - working in the beauty industry, I really need to keep my nails looking healthier, fresher and even more presentable. After a long day at work, sometimes you don't make the effort to paint your nails every few nights, even with the best intentions and wishes in the world!

The claim is that once applied properly (after following instructions carefully), it will last up to 2 weeks!

Also, if I fancy a change of colour in a few days or if my nail colour doesn't go with my outfit etc - I can simply paint an average non gel nail polish straight over the top! Once that layer eventually starts to flake off, I can use normal nail polish remover to remove the colour from my nail. This will reveal my perfect gel SensatioNails underneath as it was - what a brilliant idea!

Each kit includes enough product for 10 manicures. This didn't sound a lot to me at first for the price you pay, but they each last 2 weeks so it's pretty good value!

You can buy the different colours separately, so when you run out you can just buy more. These are £15 each - I will let you decide on whether you believe that's expensive or not. I think I have justified the price to myself. Especially if they are in a 3 for 2 offer. They are also a good price for you to ask family/friends for birthday and Christmas presents!

Kits:

The starter kit comes with 2 colour options - Raspberry Wine or Scarlet Red.

There is also the Essentials Kit which contains the 'essentials' you need once your 10 applications are up. This kit gives up to 20 applications! And at £25, that's a great price for replenishment! http://www.boots.com/en/SensatioNail-Essentials-Kit_1255860/

Each colours as I said are sold separately.

Finally, there is a kit containing foil remover wraps. http://www.boots.com/en/SensatioNail-Remover-Wraps_1277803/ This is only £10 and contains 30 foils and a 4 way buffer. I wish I had seen this before now as this would have been my 3rd item!

Each Starter kit contains:

  • Gel Cleanser 14.6ml

  • Gel base/top coat 3.69ml

  • Gel Primer 3.54m

  • Gel Polish 3.69ml (1 of your selected option)

  • Pro 3060 LED Lamp

  • Nail File & Buffer

  • Manicure Stick

  • Lint-free Wipes

I absolutely love them! At first they still felt wet - but they weren't! No more smudging 2 seconds after your painted them : D
The instructions are very simple & easy to follow. Hopefully you can tell from the picture how smooth and shiny they are! They don't feel over bulky like some false nails, but just the right amount of thickness. My nails now feel and look strong and perfected - and I don't have to worry about painting them for 2 weeks!

The actual nail polish is so easy to use, it just glides on without running all over your skin! It did take me about an hour to complete, but I am a perfectionist and my nails needed a good prep before hand! It's completely worth the time it took as you will see below!

    My choice - Raspberry wine:

(The skin around my thumb looks a little red, but this isn't nail polish and it only shows on the picture :/ )

Click here to buy from Boots and watch their video on how to apply. If you are wanting to buy, I would definitely recommend doing so whilst there on a 3 for 2.

If you want the Scarlet Red kit - you can also buy that from Asda Direct for £60.

I will keep you posted on how my nails look during the 2 weeks.

FYI in case you are wondering - The difference between UV and LED lights is that LED is basically faster! They are roughly up to 2X faster. The lights do not need replacing - they should last as long as the lamp itself, whereas for UV lamps, they need replacing often. UV lights are usually heavier. You also shouldn't think you can cure your nails in a UV light if instructed to use LED as the polish may not dry/cure properly.

Hope this helps you! Let me know if you have any questions and tell me what you think?

    Hollie x
